Dr. Alan Commet
D.M.D.
Dr. Alan Commet received a degree in biochemistry with high distinction and highest honors from the University of Michigan before attending the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. During his time at Harvard, he earned multiple accolades, including the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, the American Association of Endodontists Student Achievement Award, and the Harvard Dental Alumni Silver Award for his exceptional academic and clinical accomplishments.
After dental school, he pursued a specialization in modern conventional and microsurgical endodontics at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). While there, he published numerous scientific articles in esteemed research journals such as Biochemistry. His research in the cutting-edge field of pulpal regeneration and inflammation garnered recognition from the American Association of Endodontists, who awarded him a competitive grant to fund his research and the AAE/Dentsply Resident Award during the annual conference in Washington, DC.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Commet was named a 2018 Incisal Top 40 Under 40 honoree, which celebrates dental professionals who are renowned for their medical innovations, volunteer work, philanthropy, and commitment to exceptional patient care. When he is not practicing endodontics, Dr. Commet enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Fei-Fei Wang, who is also an endodontist at Vertex, as well as their twin boys.
